Chemical peel

Mild peels such as Glycolic and Mandelic remove the very top layer of the skin (the epidermis) and instantly lighten pigmentation, dry out acne, reduce shallow wrinkles and give a glowing and radiant look.

Moderate to deep peels such as Jessner and TCA result in a more dramatic rejuvenated appearance by removing layers of damaged and scarred skin, lightening hyperpigmentation and improving the overall appearance and tightness of sun-damaged, acne-prone, ageing skin.

During the application of the peel, a client may experience a warm, tingling or a burning sting sensation and skin may appear red, white and frosted once we finish the procedure. After a few days post peel, the skin can become very dry, tight and uncomfortable.

The client may experience mild stinging, swelling and redness, mild crusting and finally peeling, and skin can become very dry, tight and uncomfortable. You can manage this discomfort with mild analgesia and rich moisturising cream recommended by your practitioner.

It is generally recommended not to plan a significant event for a few weeks following the peel.
